Server requirements for Housing and colocation

Prepare a server for colocation by checking 1U–4U rack format, rails, shelves, extra rack space, tower chassis and water-cooling approval.

Accepted physical format

The direct fit is a 1U–4U rackmount chassis. Provide exact width, height, depth and weight: “1U” alone does not prove that chassis, cabling and rails fit.

Rails, shelves and accessories

IBM, Dell, HPE and similar server chassis should include their matching rails. If absent, inetHost must confirm that a shelf supports the weight and depth; extra space becomes part of the quote.

Ryzen, Core i7/i9 and liquid cooling

A Ryzen, Intel Core i7 or i9 build can be assessed even when it is not an enterprise chassis. inetHost permits water-cooled systems subject to inspection of the loop, mounting, transport and leak risk.

Frequently asked questions

Can I colocate a tower chassis?

Yes, subject to approval and a compatible rack shelf. Billing follows actual space and the shelf generally adds one rack unit.

Are water-cooled servers accepted?

inetHost can accept water-cooled systems after reviewing the loop, mounting, transport, power and safety conditions.
